6 Ways to Maximize LinkedIn to Build Your Brand

Here are six ways to use LinkedIn so you can maximize its full potential.

A lot of people look at LinkedIn as a haven for job seekers and employee hunters. But there are more things that you can definitely do with Linkedin that don’t revolve around hiring. Did you know that according to Hubspot, Linkedin is 227% more effective at lead generation than Facebook or Twitter? Additionally, “Traffic from LinkedIn generated the highest visitor-to-lead conversion rate at 2.74%, almost three times higher than both Twitter and Facebook” (source). In 2021, LinkedIn had over 740 million users in more than 200 countries. This signifies that Linkedin is continuing to grow more and more, especially during the global pandemic which made people spend more time looking for job opportunities—and of course, Linkedin is the only social platform for professional networking.

Here are six ways to use LinkedIn so you can maximize its full potential. Plus, we’ve added some examples of how we use it for Kaliber:

1. Hiring

This goes without saying—especially with the LinkedIn Job feature, that it is very easy for companies to post job vacancies and for job seekers to apply for a job. It is also fairly easy to promote jobs within your circle or industry. LinkedIn also has a great filtering feature that helps people filter candidates according to specific criteria. Here at Kaliber, we like to take our hiring initiatives to another level by incorporating our branding into them. We want to catch people’s attention when they are scrolling through their LinkedIn feed, plus we want the Kaliber brand to be easily recognizable even on job posts.

2. Networking with LinkedIn Company Page

Even as a company page/profile (and not necessarily your personal LinkedIn profile), you still can network within the platform. LinkedIn allows you to tag or mention other companies, or even share their posts on your company page/profile. This is just one of the many ways to network as a B2B organization. Kaliber recently partnered with Fundnel, Southeast Asia’s largest private investment technology platform, and this news was definitely newsworthy content to post on our LinkedIn page.

3. Celebrating Achievements

If you don’t know already, Kaliber is a Performance Marketing Agency and we work with clients from all over the world. One of the things that we love to do is to celebrate our client’s achievements. As their marketing partner, we are also very proud when our clients grow and scale. For example, Zenyum, a leading cosmetic dentistry brand that recently secured $40m worth of Series B funding. Another great example is our client Glints, online talent recruitment and career discovery platform that secured the largest investment round ($22.5 million) on a career platform in Southeast Asia to date. This type of content indicates that Kaliber has high trust indicators because it shows that we work with the best. We also love celebrating our milestones and one of them is our very first anniversary.

4. Spreading Knowledge

As a Performance Marketing Agency, we also love to give educational content to our followers. We post about industry trends or updates, our tips and tricks, fundamental knowledge, and free resources, and we make sure to post it on our LinkedIn page for our followers to see. Based on our experience, Kaliber’s carousel-educational-content is the most performing content with the highest impressions, click-through rates, and engagement rates. This shows that people on LinkedIn are interested in gaining more knowledge and information on these topics as well.

5. Promoting our Culture

Sometimes we can get too caught up in the digital world and forget the fact that there are people behind a company/profile. We want to show the people behind Kaliber—the people who make all of these happen. We promote our culture and values through organic content such as our TGIF meetings, our favorite memes, our milestones, and many more. Through this, we humanize Kaliber more and show what it’s like to be part of the Kaliber team.

6. Lead Generation through LinkedIn Ads

If you’re not familiar with LinkedIn Ads, it’s about time you get started. What Kaliber loves about this is how personalized they can get. On LinkedIn, people always update their personal information such as where they currently work, where they are located, their job title, their skills, and even interests. This information makes it very easy to use to target the right people. Kaliber tried for our Ramadan Report (in collaboration with Ravenry) and the result was mind-blowing. We spent a total of S$816 and these were the results we got:
